I've tried two copies of this issue and here's what I've learned. They pressed the LP's with dirty contaminated stampers. You can tell this when significant ticks and pops are present on the same tracks in the same places. The printing on the outer book cover is also of low quality in that it's very faded compared to any original issue. This is a shame as the inner booklet is great, the papers used are very nice quality, and the assembly of the book was very nicely done with even lines and a proper inner crease. Too bad excessive surface noise present in most quiet passages-- especially on side two-- ultimately ruins the enjoyment of listening to this masterpiece. This pressing should have been better. I also have the previous version of this from a few years back. Also a noisy pressing. I haven't checked the barely visible deadwax info but I'd guess this is a GZ-Media affair. They specialize in poor quality pressings that often, visually, look really good. Oh well...
